We wandered down to the park it's near our accommodation. Lovely and clean! I enjoyed reading the plaques for the Navy, Airforce and Army. Loved Captain Cook's fountain and the rose gardens were lovely. The Bloke enjoyed walking across the fountain like a kid! We sat under the trees and listened to the bird song! Lovely little park!

Civic Park is a lovely park surrounded by historical buildings including Baptist Tabernacle, Presbyterian Church, and Newcastle city hall. There are monuments to the wars, a great water fountain and tiered gardens. It's a great place to view the fountain and the surrounding historic buildings.

Civic Park is well located and packs a heap of interesting memorials, lawns and gardens. Opposite the Town Hall and the Council Building, the Civic Park is a great place to hang out, enjoy the sights and relax.
