Even Decin is a nice small czech city, there are not too many things to visit here. The castle is one of them. A nice rose garden belongs to the castle, it's worth to visit it as well.

Děčín Castle is one of the dominant of Děčín. In my opinion, the most dominant feature is the Pasty's Wall (Pastýřská stěna) above Děčín (the photo is from the bus).

It’s worth the walk up the hill and the minor charge you pay for the rose garden tour is worthwhile. Some great views!

Located up the narrow steep Dlouha jizda, a cobblestone street with high walls, Decin Castle is sited on the bluff of the town where the Elbe and Ploucnice Rivers meet. Starting as a wooden fortress in the 12th century, rebuilt in stone as a royal...More

A long walk up to the top but a very nice rose garden at the base, a brewery to the side, and a few restaurants, and a nice ice cream stand taps off a nice reward down the hill. Lovely views of the city and...More

You can only see the inside by taking the tour, conducted in Czech, but we paid for an English audio guide so we can follow along. Quite interesting to see the place where Caspar David Friedrich’s Decin Altarpiece came from when we ran into it...More

We came to Decin late, so cannot enter inside the castle. But we entered the Rose Garden and the gardens on the opposite, and so also walked the gardens below the castle. The rose garden definitely worth the money you pay for it - beautiful...More

We were not very impressed with this palace. The guide only spoke Czech and while there was a handout in English in each room, it was very brief and could be read in a minute or two while the guide spoke for about 10 minutes....More

We visited the rooftop rose garden at sunset - the garden itself was lovely, as were the views it afforded over the town. Would highly recommend if you're in the area.

This is a very beautiful castle in very good condition, they have done a good job of keeping it the same way it was back in the days. Getting there is a long walk up so be ready for a steep climb up. The only...More

Zámek je snadno přístupný, velmi citlivě zrestaurovaný. V sočasné době jsou nivě přístupné terasy zámeckých zahrad s vodotrysky a s pávy. The castle is easily accessible, very carefully restored. At present, the terraces of castle gardens with fountains and peacocks are open for visitors.
