Karlovy Vary is well worth a visit if wanting to see a little more of the Czech Republic. However, we were only able to spend a weekend there, so were not able to visit the museum.

If you enjoy reading and learning about new places, this museum does a great job. Has lots of local and regional information and artifacts and works up to more contemporary things. Staff were friendly and helpful if I had any questions.

I really appreciated the booklet I was handed in english which explained about the history of the region. There were some interesting pictures showing all the famous people that had visited the area, and some lovely exhibits of furniture, pottery, pewter etc.
