Traveling alone can be intimidating and somewhat stressful, but the day trip with Jirka to Kutná Hora was spectacular. The bone chapel was definitely something you have to see, and the town itself was quite charming. Our guide, Jirka, was beyond knowledgeable on the history and significance of each place we stopped along the way. He had an answer to... More

My daughter arranged the walking tour for us on our first full day in Prague. It was quite simply excellent - the best way to get a feel for the city and your bearings. Our guide, Jeremy, was passionate about the city and the history and we learned far more than I would have believed. He was so knowledgeable and... More

Tijo was a wonderful guide - knowledgeable, good mix of historical and cultural facts, and some (very funny!) pointers about what to look out for (and avoid) in town. I spent a lot of the tour generally laughing at his insights and amusing observations. Look out for his impression of the figures on the astronomical clock. We really enjoyed the... More

If you want to do a day trip from Prague, I would highly recommend this tour. It's a comfortable one hour (perhaps a little more in traffic) journey away. You get to see the beautiful Czech countryside. The church of bones itself was interesting. Quite beautiful if you disassociate yourself from the fact that the place is decorated with actual... Our guide, Jeremy, took us for a 3.5 hour tour around the Old Town of Prague. It covers all Prague essentials (except for the Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral) and is therefore a fantastic opportunity to get an overview. Jeremy was very knowledgable and entertaining so that the time went by in a flash.

Ryan Hume led our tour today. He was the consummate guide.... quite knowledgeable and personal. He was very funny albeit some of his jokes were a bit corny. Having said that, I would do it again in a heartbeat. He's the tour was "free" but face it! These guides are making a living on this... so tip them generously! Prague... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
