Old Town Prague

A must see, but go early in the day if possible. The crowds by mid day and evening make enjoying the sites difficult.

I was very surprised, what we visited. Nice landscape, villa Bauer from Czech architect Josef Gočár in Libodřice (small village) close to Kolín, I never did hear about it before, pleasant trip by train and another nice monuments during our trip by bike. Thanks Tomas :)

I did a one day trip around some castles outside of Prague with a guide. We had a great day, sunny weather and really stunning scenery. The day was also filled with important beer stops and a hearty lunch. If you are in Prague and the forecast is for a sunny day I highly recommend you get out of Prague... More

I was there in October 2010 and really enjoyed it a lot. Its a great way to meet the Czech Republic, with a great guide, great sceneries that only a local can make you look. Ill do it again without any doubts. I strongly recommend it for those who like to do different things and not only the traditional tourist... More

I spent some days in the Czech Republic, Prague is beautiful, but I wanted to see something that usually tourists do not see. I wanted to escape from the crowds of tourists taking photos and screaming all the time. In my hosted, there was a flier about a trip to the mountains, and emphasized that we would discover something unseen... More

I have been on 3 of these tours and can highly recommend them. I hadn't been on a bike for over 10 years so was a bit nervous to begin with but the guide was 'sensitive' to my abilities and I never felt over pushed. The Czech countryside is beautiful especially the mountains in the North. I will be on... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
