We went to a concert in the Mirror Chapel. The concert we chose was 'The best of Mozart in old Prague'. Other nights have different concerts, but we went to a concert almost every evening, so chose the music carefully to avoid hearing the Four Seasons every time. This concert was the absolute best of all we attended. It was... More

If you're not a die-hard fan of classical music, Prague is a good place to experience it. The concerts are usually an hour long (just long enough before you start getting bored) and are reasonably priced. The pieces are usually well-known pieces most people somewhat acquainted with classical music will have heard of. I paid 650 CZK from the ticket... More

Tours of the Klementinum are not available currently, so we decided to attend a concert in the Mirror Chapel. The Chapel is breathtaking, and the music equally so. The concert featured a string quartet playing arrangements of Smetana, Dvorak and Bizet pieces. They did an outstanding job. Then they were joined by a virtuoso violin soloist to perform the Four... We were aware that tours ran every 30 minutes during the most part of the day. Despite having difficulty in finding the entrance (we saw people outside selling tickets for classical concerts but didn't realise that was inside the Klemintinium and where we were meant to go), we waited only 5 minutes to join the next tour. Our guide was... More

We booked onto a guided tour of the Klementinum and were not disappointed. Our guide was extremely informative and knowledgeable. The building was beautiful and so historic. The baroque library was ornate and such a joy to see. The astronomical tower with all the equipment was also interesting. The best thing was that we had timed our visit with the... More

We fell on this 5pm concert by accident and decided to try it. Definately a highlight as members of the Dvorak Symphony Orchestra of Prague played Bizet, Dvorak, Smetana and Vivaldi. Quality was outstanding and the 60 mins went by so quickly. Highly recommend these concerts and I would look out for them again. Made for a memorable trip to... More

This baroque chapel, part of the Klementinium complex, is a picturesque place for a classical music concert. As implied by "baroque", it's overwhelmingly ornate by modern standards, so there is plenty to look at... I was easily able to get two last-minute tickets for a 6 PM "Smetana, Dvorák and Vivaldi" concert on a Sunday in January, and there were... More

We made a special effort to come here to view the library, but unfortunately when we arrived, it was closed for renovation. It is still a fantastic building, and we plan to return soon to view the interior.

Amazing !!!! Took a chance on this and what can I say !!!! Unbelievable. My wife isn't a lover of classical music but she loved it. Brilliant classical musicians, amazing sound and beautiful surroundings. They really should promote this better. If you book early during the day you get discount of around 200 Kc

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
