Came across this Statue whilst exploring the Jewish District of Prague. Its in honour of Franz Kafka who was a German-speaking Bohemian Jewish novelist. A good statue albeit a little scary.

A statue commemoratiing Kafka's Birthplace in the centre of Jewish Prague. It's by the bridge close to the Spanish Synagogue, not easy to miss it. As for a museum dedicated to Kafka, I would recommend the one on the other side of Vltava River, it's...More

It would be easy to miss this and another statue farther on but they are tow of the best monuments to Kafka in the city which seems to do very little to celebrate this great writer.

A centrally located monument at the corner of the square, probably passed by many on the way to the Jewish Quarter. Our tour looked at the house from the outside, so we did not go inside.

This monument of the famous writer, Kafka, is very centrally located, yet it is easily missed by many, who either cannot find it or don't care to look at it. It's certainly worth a couple of minutes of your time while in the square.

This momument was on my must see in Prague list because I like Franz Kafka works. Beside, it is a perceft example of modern monument and it is so kafkaesque. Love it.

Stop by, take a look at the statue, take a picture, look around sheepishly, take another picture, walk away. That is about right for 90% of tourists who come by and you may find it true for you, too. Statue is based on the content...More

Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents
the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is

square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle
in the background, is probably the most beautiful
square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere
of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and
