Prague was the last stop on our 3-week road trip around the Czech Republic. Old Town and the castle are nice, but I was a little disappointed because the souvenir shops and Thai massage spots made it seem like Just Another Tourist Attraction. I'd suggest taking some day trips (Bohemian Switzerland, Cesky Krumlov, etc.), or better yet, go further out... More

Lots to do and see in around this part, the Astronomical Tower is right around the corner. We ate and drank street food and experienced the local cuisine.

It's the oldest part of Prague and located on the Vlatva River at the centre of Prague. The buildings are quite old and look like monuments. It's ideal for shopping and well worth a visit. Anything you need you will find it here but be wary of tourist traps.

Certainly a place to visit when in Prague. Architecture worth seeing on all sides, food stalls or restaurants as you prefer, the Astronomical clock, and quieter 'local' bars or lively 'tourist' bars/clubs.

A must to see, beautiful architecture, great atmosphere and the crazy clock. Two tips: DO NOT change money at the exchange opposite the clock, you will get around half the normal rate (as per Honest Guide to Prague youtube and you don;t have to queue at the small door to go up the tower, just go into the information centre... Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
