It is very touristy and busy during the middle of the day. If you don't like crowds of idiots trying to take selfie's every second you literally should go early or in the evening.

One of Europe's top cities for romance and beauty. Compares easily with Krakow and is a place to take your breath away. Stroll along the Charles bridge at night when the crowds have gone. Enchanting. I left my heart in Prague.

This is one of the main squares of the city. You can take a horse ride or vintage car ride from here to see the city.

The Old Town Square is a must see area in Prague. Forever vibrant with street entertainers, horse drawn carriages. And that is just the square itself. No one should miss the Astronomical Clock or the accompanying clock tower which you can climb. Once at the top you will see magnificent views of Prague. There is a magnificent view of the... More

Getting yourself lost in the small streets of central Prague. It's got small paths, large roads and squares. There are many ways getting from A to B. So get yourself lost.....

Good to walk around in the day and become quite enchanting with the lights at night. Even romantic if you are with your partner. Sit down in the cafes and drink a beer or two. Lovely brewry... More

So much history is captured, saved, and well organized for an Eastern European City. All venues we visit were easy to access and accepted senior discounts.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
