The place is a bit far to get to for what it offers. This sight can be skipped unless you have spare time in Prague. It is better to take the metro because the other option which is by tram will involve walking up a...More

Nice place, nice gardens, great view of the city. For a change, museum had explanations in English. Nice for a free morning. We took a cab there, then walked back along the river.

We stayed at the Corinthia Towers Hotel and it was a short walk to Vysehrad. It is a lovely fort within a park setting. Also churches there with beautiful memorial stones. The view of Prague & Prague Castle was lovely.

We wanted to get away from the bustle of Central Prague so took the 17 tram down to Vysehrad. Our objective was to wander around somewhere pleasant, with nice views and some interesting spots. It certainly fulfilled those objectives. We paid a nominal fee to...More

This place Vysehrad was one of the best places we went in the city. It has the best views and peace of mind away from the main crowded places. Best place to relax

Take the tram or stroll along the river bank a mile or so from the Charles V Bridge to Vysehrad. The old fortifications sit on a rocky outcrop above the river. Walk along the walls to get great views across the river, city and suburbs,...More

Someone recommended to me to go see Vysehrad instead of the more touristy Prague Castle ..... well, I don't agree. Prague castle is worth seeing as it is a true gem of the city. Not to say that Vysehrad is disappointing. It is mythical, quite...More

I got this place recommended by a local in Prague. The trip went by metro (red line) to Vysehrad station. From here is a nice, short walk to the Vysehrad. There are signposts along the way showing the way. The place is grand and consist...More

The Underground station VYSEHRAD on the C line is the best option as it is on the same level, no walking up the hill is necessary. The monument is about 5 minutes walking from the underground station. The station itself is... More
