interesting street but I went up early when mostly the shops were closed, in order to avoid the crowds going up to the castle. Along wiht most streets in prague this is lined wiht souvenir shops, bars and the occasional museum

Lovely part of old Prague in the castle district, very charming and popular. Good for photos. Can get crowded.

A steep climb from Lesser Quarter Square to Prague Castle exposes you to Baroque townhouses and mansions on each side of the street. Many of the properties have retained the painted signs that were the method of identifying the owner or business prior to house...More

Steep cobblestone street leading to the Castle, lined with beautiful old architecture on both sides. Over the last 25 years lots has changed here. Some stores and restaurants disappeared. There used to be a great art gallery. New stores appeared. The souvenirs stores. The cheep stuff....More

I walked this street, let’s say, prepared. I gathered info about many of these houses and walked down trying to find each of house signs and “read” the history. Yes, this street is overcrowded as everything around the Castle.

This quaint and interesting street gives you a nice sample of some of Prague's less imposing architecture. It makes for a nice walk to/from the castle from Charles Bridge and is a good subject for photos.

Fun place and pleasant walk down hill. I suggest you do the castle first then walk down. We über to the castle and walked down. See my review on The Catherdral for a suggested itinerary and where to eat.

We walked (or climbed) this street many times to and from our hotel during our stay in Prague. There are some nice tourist shops, trdelník shops and restaurants/cafes along the street. It wouldn't be much point to visit the street itself unless you are heading...More

Most people walk down on this street from the castle. It is full with everthing what a tourist want - coffeé, restaurants, pubs, souvenir shops, etc. But it is fun, the only problem the too many people.

Coming from Charles Bridge to enter Prague Castle, you will likely follow the crowds along this interesting, yet fairly steep street. Some quite different shops along here, selling unique items, along with my personal favourite, Trdelnik. Dare you to have only 1
