Established in 1869 on the grounds of Vysehrad Castle. It is the final resting place of Czech famous history. The centerpiece of the cemetery is the Slavin tomb.

Vyšehrad has always been one of my favourite spots in this wonderful city, and the National Cemetery ranks alongside it's more famous and bigger counterparts at Père Lachaise and Highgate! Here there is reverential tranquility and the visitor can see the final resting places of the Father of Czech music, Bedrich Smetena and his more recent compatriot Antonin Dvorak who... More

A must visit if you have good weather during your stay in Prague. The cemetery is well taken care of and full of beautiful flowers. It's located in lovely Vysehrad where you can get great pictures over the river.

In the evening, come here a little uncomfortable. The cemetery is a cemetery. But here there are beautiful tombstones. You can walk along the paths between the tombs - viewing these works of art.

Located in Vysehrad, this cemetery is the final resting place of many composers, artists, sculptors, writers, scientists and politicians alike, the most notable of them being Antonín Dvořák and Bedřich Smetana.

There are a lot of headstones, and set very close to each other. It makes a very interesting stroll to see how ornate the markers are. There is a reference guide by the cathedral that shows where the marker is located. Numerous Notable famous names.
