To escape the hustle and bustle of the Vibrant city centre my twin brother Stephen and I decided to visit this lovely huge expanse of park lands and just chill out and have a nice walk around.
A popular park with families, on a beautiful sunny March Saturday morning we enjoyed a good half hour walk around this park area planning out the day ahead, people walking dogs, joggers and like my brother and I lots of folk just enjoying the tranquil park area.
Easy to locate and most definitely well worth checking out

This is a large and beautiful park behind Letna which was recommended to me by a local man on Instagram. It is a lovely place which is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the centre of Prague. It is quiet and has plenty of space to enjoy and if you visit at the right time of year, the smell from the trees is amazing. I think it could be jasmine or magnolia but it is stunning and restful. The locals walk their dogs here, cycle and jog too.

In may we decided to have a little barbecue party and this was the great place for it. We brought our own little grill and meat and drinks and made a day out of it. Beautiful nature

A great park. Paved trails. Lake in the middle where you could go for a swim. It is a bit of a climb to get to but flat inside, next to the river.

Stromovka is massive, great for running because of all the tarmac paths. It’s hilly to access but once you’re in, it’s a real haven. A little bit less personality than Letná but feels more away from the city.

After visiting Petrin, Kampa and Letna park you still feel like you want to visit another park in Prague make your way to Stromovka. Farther away from the Center, it is a wonderful green space, mostly flat - great for long walks, jogging and biking.
The locals are hoping it will remain largely undiscovered.
My husband and I used to date here. It's still is fun to come back ....

Eventhough not so much known by turists, it's actually very close to the city center - just a few stops by tram. And it's very beautiful. If you want to get to the nature for about two hours, this is the right place. There are also a few places where you can enjoy a drink or a beer with your friends.

I didn’t realise there was such a nice park in this area of Prague !

Nice and flat so easy for walking, there are also paths for joggers and cyclists. There are plenty of places to sit down and just admire the scenary, and to watch the ducks being fed in the ponds.

A few more maps around the park would be handy, but it would be difficult to get lost.

We only saw a fraction of the park but it was a very pleasant couple of hours

You will need more than a day to investigate this entire reserver - it's enormous. Find the lagoon with the raft in the middle of it, endless fun for the kids.

We strolled through this huge, magnificent park after arriving in Prague after travelling for 34 hours. A beautiful place. Lots of wonderful trees, lakes with waterfowl, beautiful flower gardens, well maintained walking, cycling and jogging tracks, kids playgrounds and restaurants- a fantastic introduction to a green Jewel in this lovely city. Probably not on the average tourists itinerary, but travellers will love it- well worth a visit.
