Could have been 5 stars except for this: First, check your change! The ticket booth woman (older, plump, dyed blond short hair) deliberately tried to keep half our money, giving me change for 500 when I had given her a 1000 bill. She watched me...More

We heard about this concentration camp: but actually, it is quite different from every other because it was not under the rule of the SS and it was not a true concentration camp. It was a Fortress prison, as well as a Show camp when...More

Thank you for your visit but I would like to add one correction. The both camps in Terezin were under control and rules of the Nazis. Thank you.

Pavel Batel is passionate and very knowledgeable about the subject matter. This tour is very moving and an intense exploration of a very dark time in history. Please do not miss his tour.

Pavel provided a powerful tour. He brought Terezin to life through the stories he has learned from people who were there. This gave the experience depth and not a small amount of pain and terror. I am grateful to have had this. I wanted to...More

We booked this tour at the recommendation of friends who had taken it before. This was quite a daunting experience and we had no idea how horrible the people had of a life to endure. Pavel was our tour guide and we cannot say enough...More

Last day of our Prague trip and very glad my husband and I took this tour. We began knowing very little about Terezin but Pavel brought the story to life, and we left with more information than we thought possible, as well as a deep...More

Pavel was fantastic guide. He brought the events that happened there to life. That was good and bad. The good is that we could feel like we were there seeing all the atrocities that went on. The bad is that it was a very somber...More

My wife and visited the Terezin Memorial - both small and large fort on recent visit to Prague. We made our own way there - not part of a guided tour. The subway from near old town centre to Helosovice Station then the bus from...More

We went on our own from Prague which was easy on the way there although quite a challenge in the way back. Had to wait 2 hours for the bus in the cold practically in the middle of nowhere so would advise getting a cab...More

Thank you very much, we also recommend to experience Terezin on your own, however not everyone is used to do it in such a way. Thank you for your 5 stars feedback !

Terezin was a concentration camp, but not really a death camp in that it didn’t have a gas chamber. Jews in Prague were transported to Terezín as a ghetto in WWII. From there, if they were unlucky, they were shipped east to Auschwitz or Birkenau...More

Thank you for your visit. Yes Terezín was not an extermination camp but especially because of its propaganda role it was a unique and on od the keyest part of Holocaust.

It was 1500 CKZ. They only take cash. Well worth the extra. No more than 8 people. You are picked up from your hotel and returned back there. We went to a restaurant to eat, but wasn't expensive.
