We've enjoyed the current exhibition "Korunovační klenoty v dějinách světa" as well as the exhibition about the city and it's history. If you have an hour or two to spare it's definitely worth a visit.

All exhibitions were intersting, but its not enought to see it in 1 hour you need more time than that. We got there one hour before closing and we have to go throught the exhibitions wery fast and we didin get to see everything. But over all we liked the museum.

The type of civic museum from which you do not expect WOW effect, however it appeared to be very pleasant experience. We were 2 girls and one guy and everyone found some cool things: for him- weapon staff, for us- cool watches and kitchen staff, we all were amazed by collection of precious stones and fauna world. And cost is not... More

Very nice town in Czech Republic. Fine shoping in market square, from after 1800 age old town. Is very fine, if someone is going by way nearby.

There are some interesting exhibits like guns and old clocks Nice section with natural history exhibits, birds, animals etc There are very few english descriptions so its difficult to understand the history written. Cheap museum but nothing very special. Museum managers don't speak english which is a big disadvantage

All of the signs were only in Czech. Museum staff followed us around like we are criminals. Not organized in a logic pattern and lots of steps. We will not bother going again or recommending it to anyone

A strange museum. A staff memebr escorted us to the exhibit room and unlocked it for us. They lock everything, including the coat room. On the first fllor (2nd floor to North Americans) there were exhibits relating to the history of Ostrava, unfortunately everything was labeled in Czech only, it was not very interesting to us. It was easier to... More

Visit is quite cheap and if you are interested in history it is worth of it. History is of course related to Ostrava but you can see there few intereting things - old books (bible), models, weapons and exposition related to mining. Big part of the museum is displaying nature and geology. And you can see there the only indoor... More
