II WW started here...everything else you will find out from the museum, bunkers, peaceful forest, lovely beach, suvenior, shuttle bus to the monument (not recommended it's only 10 min walk and you will miss other attractions). Museum £3. Monument free, e everything else free there....More

The Tourist Information in the main square organised a taxi, and the driver stayed with us and was really informative.

Was the monument removed from its original setting. In my memory it was not on the hill when I visited the place 18 years ago.

I don't know. When you arrive there with the boat, you have 2 choices. Either go down,see the area and go back to the center with the next one (I didn't) or continue the tour and return to the center directly. I don't think... More
