In a great location in the main square. Outside undergoing renovations at moment but don't let this put you off visiting. There are two entrances, one paying with access to main alter and one free this allows access to back of church and some side altars only. You can light candles here too. Beautiful church, don't miss it.

The highlight of this wonderful church is the Altar carved by Veit Stoss, a tiumph of 15th century art. At present being renovated with painstaking care (you can view a fascinating video about how this work is undertaken). You can visit the church free to pray - but it is worth paying the small fee to get up close to... More

In the main square of old town.. every one hour you can see a man from the window playing flute. Entrance in the church is free. ;)

Absolutely magnificent. We attended mass in the church and could soak up the atmosphere in this holy place.

A must for architecture lovers. The main alter is one to rival st. Peters basilica in rome. The frescoes on the walls are beautifully painted. Lit by candlelight, this church is everything you can imagine and more. With chapels dotted around the sides of the church it is by far the best church i have seen anywhere in the world.

We celebrated Mass at St Mary's. We thought it was the best way to experience the church. And even though we speak no Polish (we have trouble even saying "Thank you" in this difficult language), Mass was a good way to admire this beautiful church and really get a good feel for it.

Iconic building at the market square, beautiful church made of brick in gothic style. A must see in Krakow.

I really do resent paying an admission fee and then being told you're not allowed to take photographs - particularly by very, very unpleasant guards! Anyway here's a pic - I noticed others spending a lot more time taking illegal pics. Nothing like as impressive a place to visit as say the Zurich's Fraumunster with its Chagall windows.

An absolutely stunning building inside, came out with a stiff neck from looking in awe at the ceiling. There is a small charge (think it was 5pzl) extra to take pictures. It's a relatively quick tour round, half an hour or so.
