The space of former Krakow-Rakowice-Czyzyny Airport was where the Polish Aviation Museum was opened back in 1964. Quite undeservedly forgotten by many visitors to Krakow, this suberb museum is a real must-see for everyone who bears any interest in technology. Over 200 aircrafts (some of them placed inside hangars) - gliders, fixed-wing aircrafts, helicopters and engines of various eras, design... More

A very interesting place, full of flying machines, including older and newer planes. Big venue, really interesting exhibition.

This museum is reasonably priced to enter and has a large selection of planes and memorabilia both inside and out. On the negative side it did look a little run down, with many exhibits seemingly left to deteriorate. Easy to reach by tram.

This museum is easily reached by tram but isn't well-signposted. From the Muzeum Lotnictwa tramstop, it is approximately a ten minute walk to the museum. The museum is closed on Mondays. On Tuesdays, entrance is free. For the remaining days of the week, there is a charge. Once in the main reception building, there are one or two aircraft exhibits... More

We came to the museum to fill a couple of hours before we flew home to UK. We did not really know what to expect but we were happily surprised. It is very big, a lot outdoors. We spent 2 hours there just wandering around all the exhibits. There are lots of hangars tucked away so make sure you see... More

It was all going wrong, with massive thunderstorm that day, when we couldn't get out of the car. We were going to resign of our visit to this museum, but the strom gone away. But ther was another problem, in shape of Polish Military Police, who did not let us in through main gate. It came out that it was... More

Visited the aviation museum last October and really enjoyed it. It is fairly simple really, a huge collection of commercial and military aircraft including helicopters from around Europe. It was very cheap to go in and many of the exhibits could actually be entered including a couple of the cockpits. Highly recommended, I am by no means a plane fanatic... More

This place has so many unusual aircraft - it was a delight to spend about 3 hours here with another aviation enthusiast. This place and some aircraft or a big smile on my face. The main hangar was exceptionally well done

Very interesting museum with plenty of soviet era aircraft on display. You can get right up close to the aircraft. For aviation enthusiasts like myself this is a must. Very cheap entry fee.
