We visited this museum after reading a lot of good reviews. And we were right! First, on Tuesdays the entrance is free. So, you can save some money if you choose this day. Then, there are really a huge amount of things to see! Planes from their first models to modern aircrafts, helicopters, missiles, and many more! Kids liked a... More

Situated on the outskirts of Krakow, the museum was a £5 taxi ride away from our hotel on the opposite side of the city. It can also be reached by tram if you want to rise to the challenge of working their transport system out, which I am sure is easy. We went when it was snowing so chose our... More

Being ex RAF, this place was of great interest, looking at all the cold war aircraft we were up against. There is also a spitfire, hurricane and messerscmit. Spent a good 5 hours here.

An excellent place to go for aviation fans. They present an abundance of mainly soviet and Russian aircraft, which are certainly unusual to see in western places. There are also some western planes. Parts of the exhibition are thematic, for example comparing NATO to the USSR. The greatest part of the exhibition are planes and helicopters standing outdoors, making the... More

Now if you buy a Krakow Card with public transport entry is included in the price. From the Barbican get the no 4 tram on the side closest the old town & get off at the stop shown as muzeum lotnictwa (aviation museum). You are then a short walk through to the museum which has an impressive collection of aircraft... More

The space of former Krakow-Rakowice-Czyzyny Airport was where the Polish Aviation Museum was opened back in 1964. Quite undeservedly forgotten by many visitors to Krakow, this suberb museum is a real must-see for everyone who bears any interest in technology. Over 200 aircrafts (some of them placed inside hangars) - gliders, fixed-wing aircrafts, helicopters and engines of various eras, design... More

A very interesting place, full of flying machines, including older and newer planes. Big venue, really interesting exhibition.

This museum is reasonably priced to enter and has a large selection of planes and memorabilia both inside and out. On the negative side it did look a little run down, with many exhibits seemingly left to deteriorate. Easy to reach by tram.

This museum is easily reached by tram but isn't well-signposted. From the Muzeum Lotnictwa tramstop, it is approximately a ten minute walk to the museum. The museum is closed on Mondays. On Tuesdays, entrance is free. For the remaining days of the week, there is a charge. Once in the main reception building, there are one or two aircraft exhibits... More
