At first - reserve some more time to visit the place. It has few floors and is very rich in expositions. You will see all his life here! If you are a Tonys' fan - it is your duty to come here, if not, and you define yourself as an explorer - you will definitely feel like home here! And... More

A museum about the most famous polish journalist who has visited all of the native tribes around the globe. The museum is located in a beautiful green tenement house which stands out. A lot of tribal accessories such as clothing, jewellery and weapons. The museum is quite rich in artefacts from Halik’s and his wife’s home. However, there is not... More

Joseph Conrad and Ryszard Kapuscinski were well known Polish travellers to me, whose books I enjoyed reading, but until my arrival in the beautiful town of Torun I had never heard of Tony Halik and Elzbieta Dzikowska, to whom the 'Explorer's Museum' is dedicated. It is a small, but very interesting ethnological museum about various areas of the world, but... More

Small museum located just by the planetarium. It has a very interesting collection of various objects collected by Tony Halik and Elżbieta Dzikowska during their trips. I especially enjoyed all the informations about native Americans and their arts and crafts. Embroided clothing is fascinating. The museum has also some information on other less known Polish travellers from the past. Cost... More

It might not be a place to visit in order to get to know more about the city, but it is a great place for the inspiration of travel. The museum keeps the collection of a famous Polish couple of travelers brought from Brasil, Argentina, and Mexico. Very interactive. Should be a good option for a visit with children. Entrance... It's quite nice little museum with little but quite interesting collection of exhibits from all continents. If you've been before to many museums like that one, you probably won't find here anything new, but it is definitely worth going if you're new to it. You'll find here different traditional clothes, weird bags made of skin and skulls, terrifyingly small Chinese... More

Muzeum Podróżników is a nice place, rather quiet, where you can see quite a number of interesting exhibitions. The exhibitions change every few weeks. So first check the poster outside what is the topic today. In a very hot day, or in a freezing day it is a great place where you can hide and sink in the memories of... More

The museum is not very well known, and (in my opinion) a bit overlooked. I haven't really seen a soul there, while it is much more entertaining than the crowded House of Copernicus. The exhibitions are informative and simply visually pleasing. I thought it was very well done and had a western-european quality to it that is not very common... More
