Our visit to the Heritage Interpretation Centre reinforced the phenomenal undertaking involved in restoring the Old Town and the Royal Castle after all were reduced to rubble in the war. It truly is an outstanding achievement. The castle beautifully dominates plac Zamkowy and King Sigismund's Column framed against it create a breathtaking vista against the azure sky. Treasures and artworks... More

We spent a little over two hours here and could have stayed longer. The castle interior is well maintained. We purchased the audio guide in addition to entrance ticket. It was well worth it. The audio guide is informative and interesting. You can listen to some, all and additional room, exhibit explanations.

This castle is the only restored palace in the whole area. The outside is bland but the inside is spectacular. Many rooms reflect the splendor of the period. Thrones, paintings, fabulous ornamentation covered in gold. I recommend the audio guide to enhance your understanding of the rooms and circumstances. Count on a good hour.

Including the audio tour - which is pretty much essential - this is the most expensive tourist ticket in Warsaw at ZL47. Regardless, it's well worth it. There's a lot to see and some of the palace rooms are 'wow' for sure. Sadly, although many of the paintings and furnishings are stunning, very few are authentic relics of the palace.... More

After Wilanow the next best attraction in Warsaw. Certainly worth a visit, but check when it is open. There can be some queues to get in.

Entry is 17zlt pr person on Mondays - Saturdays (free on Sundays) (when this is written 17 pln/zlt is approx 4,5 EUR / 5 USD / 4 GBP) family pass at 11 zlt per person I recommend going there on weekdays since weekends are busy and with your entry you...
