My husband and I rented bikes and cycled to the castle, where we spent a few hours. The view of the lake is worth the admission alone, in my opinion. Yes, there is not a whole lot to explore, but the actual castle itself is...More

Visited Bled castle for an evening performance as a family with a 15 year old and 2 young adults. Upon arrival at the castle went to purchase tickets. 2 adults and 3 students. The young adults didn’t have their student cards so were unable to...More

After paying the visit for the castle, and once inside, incredibly you have to pay again for the toilet. After protesting, the staff told me about a free toilet near the pupper museum.

Lovely castle, we weren't sure whether to pay to go in or just look around the outside and get the views of the lake. Well worth paying to go in. The castle, blacksmiths, museum all really interesting but highlight was the 15th century printing press....More

A steep entrance takes you up to the castle entrance. When inside there is so much to see with a variety of museums and exhibitions. Good value on its own, but of course the views across Bled are simply stunning.

We came at 7pm in August, so there were not too many tourists. The walk up is a small hike, but the views from the castle were spectacular! I just wish there were more rooms set up to get a feel for castle life. The...More

I don’t see the point in opening the castle at 8 am if all the rooms stay close until 9 because the persons who work here are drinking a coffee at the restaurant (For we’ve seen them). They’re not saying hello or trying to give...More

We liked the view to the lake and surroundings, the castle has a restaurant with terrace which is nice and a few expositions - art, print works and history of the castle and not only. While these were interesting, there was not much to visit...More

A half an hour walk from «city»-centre up hundreds of steps to reach the cliff top, a magnificent view over the Lake Bled materializes. The castle is worth seeing. We had dinner at the castle. Ask your hotel to reserve in advance. Then you do...More

The climb is tiring without a car but the views are impressive, especially on a clear day. The castle itself is nothing special on the inside and we didn't bother visiting the small exhibitions however well worth the visit to simply admire Lake Bled from...More

It's worth the fee to see the view. I must remind you that there is a steep short way uphill to go to the viewing spot.

I think its worth going in for the views. What I found to be a rip off is the boat to the island. We paid 14 euro pp to get there, was only given 1 hr, and we had to pay an extra 6 euro pp to enter the church and the museum... More

Bled needs a whole day to see the main attractions. You can plan a separate day for Ljubjana. There are some shops in Bled and a supermarket near the lake.
