The boat ride to the island is a treat, as the traditional Pletna boats are manually propelled. There's three locations around the lake where you can get a seat on a boat (pay on return from the island, and not inexpensive -- remember a person...More

Worth visiting but is pricey, you have to pay the boat to take you with is around fourteen euros and than pay to get into the church. Great view point and fun to be on such a tiny island but would only do it once...More

Had a great boat ride across the lake. There is a nice small shop on the island. Lovely day out and beautiful views.

It's so tiny and big at the same time! From its location, to its access, to its architecture, colours and nature surrounding it, you can't go to Bled and not visit the island!

Nice little detour and we took the boat over the lake to the Island. We had a wander around the charming old church and rang the bell. We climbed the tower and had a look in the nice gift shops on the Island.

Lake Bled was simply charming! We visited in late August/early September 2017 and absolutely loved our stay here. A picturesque little town - 45 minutes out of the capital - with enough to do to keep all ages happy!

As the other answer said - it is doable with a stroller but there are a lot of stairs up to the church and when walking around the bottom of the island there are quite a few bumps and tree roots etc. Once you're up the... More

Hi there! Skating in the lake is free for everyone. Even better if you have your own skates so you don't need to rent. But please ask the locals on which side is best to skate. The good point is if you go to "Villa Bled... More
