Having walked half way around Lake Bohinj, my husband & I decided to check out Savica waterfall. The walk to the waterfall is easy for a relatively fit person. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for the return trip, from the lake. ( The waterfall can be accessed from a car park at a higher level) There is a small entry... More

Hike up to the waterfall. May be a little above average for elderly with steps to climb. 3€ for adult entrance 2.5€ for senior entrance.

First you pay 3€ for a parking and then you also have to pay 3€ again to see the waterfall. A complete scam, for a waterfall which is nice but not mind blowing. It's hard to take a good picture and also the path to the waterfall is not very nice. Also be careful of a cottage right next to... More

What you should know in advance: it's quite a distance from the town so it really is better to cycle or drive out. There is a fee for both parking, and to access the park/waterfall trails. The trails are moderate - some visitors were struggling with the sloped ascent. It is a pretty waterfall - the water was ~ green,... More

This was a lovely walk after a beautiful drive by the lake. The car park was muddy and littered (very unusual for Slovenia) and cost 3 Euros. The entrance fee was 3 Euros each. The waterfall ids very impressive but the view of the waterfall was a little restricted as some of the pathways had been closed.

Don't let the rain put you off. It had rained for 24 hours non stop and we sloshed up the stairs to the top. The rain had swelled the waterfall making it even more of a spectacle. Just be careful on the stairs as they are very uneven and can be slippery. The added advantage of the rain was that... More

The climb is not so chalenging, and the nature is amazing, but the view is breathtaking and magical, mountains around it and Bohinj lake, Sava and waterfalls are lovely. It's really must go if you are near by. You won't regret it. I think entrance is 3euros, al least it was when I went there, but it's worth every penny!

It's a lot of stairs, but we had ages 11 through 72 (and everything in between!) make the climb, and it is worth it. It's a beautiful drive to the parking area along the lake and through the woods. Be prepared to pay a parking meter AND entrance to the walk. We arrived the week after Easter, so everything was... More

The famous waterfall is not far from Ukanc, easily access by car. You have to pay for parking in the car park (about 5 Euro) and then you have to buy ticket to walk up to the waterfall. The walk is not difficult, manageable even with children. Apart from the waterfall, there are couple of hiking trails starting near the... More
