Small but very nice museum about dairy farming in the area and the practices is still uses. Coming from a farm in the USA it is very different on how they take care of herds and cheesemaking is also explained. If going to the Vogel Ski Resort it is a stop well worth it. There was even a lady in there that has first hand experience of what it is like to live the lifestyle.

Stopped in here as part of a large tour group. Having raised cows myself, I found the displays and photos very interesting. Informative information on life for those involved in this industry and the tools they used.

Called in here as part of our tour. Lots of information, examples and displays all explained. A dying art that for a time looked lol being lost until there has been a bit of a resurgence due some wanting to keep practice alive and of course tourism is playing a part. Enjoyed the time there and the tasting. Well worth the visit.

Visited as part of a tour group whilst staying in Bled. A visit to this dairy museum gives a fascinating insight into farming life in the region. Living conditions for shepherds and other farm workers explained, and the production of local cheese. Well worth the visit if you’re in the area.

We spent more than an hour in this small museum. There are a lot of texts and pictures, but if you go through them thoroughly, you'll get a really good picture about the history and practices of cheesemaking in a region famous for it.

the last thing I wanted to do after 8 hrs of sightseeing was this last stop but I was with a group. We arrived at a quaint ancient wooden village which hasn't been touched for centuries. i found the museum and surrounding property worth inspecting
architecturally. Very interesting slice of alpine village life and a true "cottage industry" including the inside of the actually cottage. It contained all the utensils and equipment to herd, milk and process the cheese as they moved the village herd up the mountains to the greener pastures.
Never would I have thought that this little village was connected to my ancestors. A large placard with a bio and picture of a dairy lady, Anaj, with my same last name. I knew my family emigrated from this area around 1880 now i had found the village/valley where they lived. More poignant was the plaque on the outside of the entrance dedicated to the partisans who were killed by the Nazis. That plaque contained two of my relatives ages 19 and 25 who were executed in 1945 because of their resistance to that fascist regime.
As a tour group we were invited by the owner of the property to his tavern ( directly across the court yard) for a taste of the local cheeses and liquors.

Visited today after walking around the beautiful town. Museum is small and specialist about an important industry in the local areas. We enjoyed the visit and the lady on the desk was very friendly and helpful with the displays. Good English translations and only €3.50 per person, so cannot grumble about price. Worth a visit if passing through.

There are many better things to do with your time, even if it is raining buckets, such as staring at the ducks in the lake. They don't take credit cards and claimed they couldn't make change for a large bill for the entrance fee; when I turned and started to walk out they magically remembered where their change was. The items on display looked they were hauled out of a single barn, and someone typed up some captions on construction paper and pasted them on the wall.

This museum consists of four rooms. The largest features giant vats in which they made cheese and the cheese wheel. The other rooms had utensils and other artifacts but nothing very visually stimulating. They had many black and white photos and text explanations. Looking at my photos should do it for you. So there's really no need to visit. The cheese factory tour in Switzerland is much better. You see them actually making cheese.
