Unfortunately one of the sides was closed during my visit for a new installation. Art history buffs would love this museum. They have works dating back to the 15th century. It's a good rainy day activity.

Interesting collections curated by century, with a good number of very good impressionist paintings by a Slovenian artist.
Do not expect the usual array of world famous old masters, The unpretentious museum's collection is mostly national and / or regional, but well put together. And the upkeep of both the building and its interior seems to be immaculate.
If you like museums (my wife does) this is a "must see". There is a variety of works, very well displayed, to see. Not crowded so you can enjoyed your time.

gives you good knowledge of country and capital city and very well organised exhibitions at moderate rates. Car parking in garage direclty in front of house.
