It always amazes me just how beautiful this building is. No matter how many times I see it, it's always magnificant. Probably the best-looking building in Ljubljana.

The National Ballet and Opera House, though much extended early this century, has at its core an attractive neo-classical building dating from the late 19th century. We were warned that if we wished to see a performance it would be prudent to book as early...More

Nice theatre in the center of Ljubljana. Went there for Pepelka (Cinderella) which was great. Buy tickets in advance, as it is small and usually full. Try to book from row 10 or less. Staff is really good.

Classical and, I would say, usual opera building, but somehow it glows. It is very nice, perfectly renovated. Near the ticket office you may see small exibition of costumes from the shows.

Very beautiful building near the Tivoli Park. Just a few minutes` walk from the Old Town. On both sides of the building there were costumes of pervious (and current) shows on display.

Amazing front entrance to this building is one of the nicest pieces of architecture in Ljubljana. Great location, as well.

We booked tickets for the ballet 'Swan Lake' online, and looked forward to the show for weeks before our visit. Tickets were good value, and we had great seats near the front for under 40 euro. The orchestra was excellent, as was the ballet, and...More
