Half an hour visit will probably be enough, but it is very interesting, with many fascinating exhibits. In summer it is possible to watch the bees making honey.

Had driven up to Bled from Ljublyana to see the Bled Castle and after it started raining we decided to go to an indoor museum. Had a hard time finding the Radovljica Old Town and the Beekeeping Museum but when we finally did, we found it very interesting. Beekeeping has been an important industry in Slovenia for centuries. It was... More

Nice little thematic museum about bees in general and local traditional beekeeping in particular. With beautiful examples of Janša beehives, which are hives with beautifully decorated fronts, shaped in blocks and stacked together like drawers. The museum is located in a large classical building on the second floor on the main square and is somewhat hard to find...

Museum is informative and quirky. Come see real bees and learn how bee colonies work and function. Lots of historic and interesting bee keeping artifacts.

Loved this museum! My husband and I both thought the beekeeping museum was fascinating; who would have thought there was such a long history of beekeeping in Slovenia or elsewhere? The guide explained the meaning of the hand painted panels often found on the exterior of the bee houses, and they date back hundreds of years. And then there was... More

So interesting! I really wanted to go, so I dragged my friends along. They had a great time, even though they were a bit less enthusiastic than I was. For €3, there's no better way to spend a few hours. I went in the dead of winter, but I would love to go back in the summer when they have... More

We wanted to get out of the heat of the sun for about 1 hour so visited this small museum on the first floor of Radovljica mansion on Linhart square. The entry fee is only 3 euros for an adult. All the information signs are in English and Slovenian and there is plenty to look at and read. If you... More

This small-but-interesting museum is definitely worth a stop. They have some old bee houses and other exhibitions, but my kids specifically enjoyed watching bees at their natural habitat (i.e. in a glass bee house), and trying to find the queen. (we ended up crowning a random one ;-) I recommend dedicating 20-30 minutes to this museum while visiting the city.

Radovljica is a small town worth a visit and there is a bee keeping museum which is cheap and very informative.
