I prefer this concert hall to the academy of music in Budapest. I think I listened more than 200 concerts by now. Also there is a museum of contemporary arts and a smaller theater inside. The staff is friendly and helpful. You don't have to...More

When in Budapest, checkout this place for classical concerts! I love the acoustics of the concert hall, which hosts classical concerts, while there's a slightly smaller hall for dance acts as well. Don't forget to check out the terrace with for great views!

A semi staged performance over four nights with the wonderful conductor Adam Fischer. A light spacious building but the hall too large for comfort with not particularly good acoustics. Uncomfortable seats. Performed over four days which is most unusual.

The whole experience was a joy. The concert hall and acoustics were excellent - with the layout of the foyer and entrances all leading to an easy and relaxed evening. Must also mention the small in house restaurant which was simply excellent as well -...More

Budapest can be proud of this outstanding highest level concert hall. Both the external architecture as well as the generous and stylish inner part: foyers and hall are on a par with that of any grand european capital or great US city. We listened to...More

You can visit the Ludwig Museum of Contemporary Art, or you can join a phenomenal concert at the Concert Hall. The building is amazing from the inside and outside also. Really like this place.

The acoustics of the main hall is just fantastic. Every single tiny note of the massive organ could be felt just as it plays around you, should it be loud or quietly played. Absolutely recommended for organ enthusiasts!

I bought the ticket online. The category of the ticket was the only available. The price was second the most expensive i.e. second category of five price category. The first shock was narrowness of the seat. Unlike rest of the auditorium, seats in these three...More

I can't comment on the National Theatre building, I have never been in it. The National Concert Hall is one of my favourite venues in Bpest. Very good acoustics, smart and clean lines to the building, comfortable seats. I find its classical music programmes drab...More

The Palace of Arts is over looking the Danube on it's south east side. The number 2 tram to the Közvágóhíd H stop. The Palace of Arts is a very short 3 minute walk from that stop. You can see the building and with the sign... More

It depends what you are visiting. For a good concert best to book ahead if you want good tickets. For the museum it isn't necessary
