People roaming around clicking pictures..relaxing ..shopping at innumerable affordable branded stores..having beers or coffees in cafes. What else can we ask for? Easy access from metro and walking distance from boat cruise piers. Good place to shop relax and sip a drink. Ann's cafe is...More

A good place with many restaurants, markets, coffee shops and almost everything. It's a great part of the area.

It is nice and peaceful here! The statue is beautiful! But, it's not a place you would make a special trip to see! It's something you pass, stop, enjoy and move on!

This is one of the most beautiful squares in the very center of Budapest. You'll find on the square two famous cafes Gerbeaud and Szamos. Although, Gerbeaud is probably more famous, quality of pastries and service in Szamos is much better. From the sqare starts...More

Located at one end of Vaci Utca, it is a fun place to be. It is the starting point of walking tour of the inner city and is frequented by loads of tourists. Many cafes, souvenir shops and eateries are also present here.

This square is a hub of activity but there is nothing remarkable about it other than the statue. Many free walking tours start here, sitting in a sidewalk cafe is relaxing, but I agree with other reviews, don't go out of your way to see...More

My advice would be to stop by if you are in the area anyway, but do not go here especially (we did, for the Gerbeaud coffee house), it is not that special!

Variety of local food, art, souvenirs, lots of tourists and locals - in the heart of the city! There's also the famous Gerbaud coffee and pastry shop on the square , the icon of Budapest. A must see for sure.

Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube,
with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The
Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica
stand out as two of the finest examples of
architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for
more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval
city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while
the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention

We are a group of 13 people (8 grown ups and 5 teenagers) We will be at the square on the evening of 11th November. Would you suggest a place to eat nearby? Somewhere NOT very touristic with reasonable prices, attractive for teens?
