Attended a concert with music from Stravinsky, Mozart and Dvorak. Very inexpensive and purchased online. Sound was extremely good and venue was perfect. Beautiful interior to look at while listening to the concert. Audience was very well behaved. Best seats are at the back first level up or behind the orchestra at the very front. They have the pre concert... More

We hwent on a trip around the city on the Hop On Hop Off bus. Got off at the Liszt Academy. What a treat was in store.Charming man guided us around. It was very reasonably priced. I learned so much of the history of Budapest in an hour. Crowned with a short performance by one of the students as we... More

This museum features many letters and artifacts belonging to this great composer, and would be fascinating to those with a musicology bent. I loved seeing the beautiful instruments he used. A quiet but ediyfying visit.

Just wandering by when sign for a tour of the building caught my eye. Two minutes later myself and three others were being ushered around this magical place. Art Nouveau and Art Deco in abundance that's just stunning. The main concert hall is like a huge jewellery box. Our guide gave us just the right amount of information and explained... More

The renovated FL Academy is an outstanding art nourveau building, inside and out (but particulaly inside) even by the standards of inner city Pest - which says a lot. I have not been on the tour yet but other reviewers indicate it si well worth while. Wonderful, magnificent decor and the Academy's programmes are good - varied and interesting. The... More

This venue is wonderful for hearing classical music. We booked the very reasonably priced tickets 2 days before the concert. Beerhoven and Liszt. Superb pianist. The seats were a bit uncomfortable but OK for the time we were there.

We found this music venue by chance one evening and decided to walk in as there seemed to be a buzz about the place. We booked tickets for a concert the following day at the very reasonable cost of 1400 forints. This turned out to be great value for a superb performance of Haydn and Schubert music by a Berlin... We had our UIA Congress opening ceremony there. Beautiful building and impressive decoration of the place. They have a big collection of recording and music. As a for concerts, the only disadvantage are the seats, they are not comfortable at all, and need immediate replacement. Exit doors are numerous which make the exit and at the end of the performance... More

6 of us from the states enjoyed a beautiful piano musical by finalists in the prestigious Litz concert finals. If there was a negative take water as it was VERY warm, as well as a fan. Admittedly, we are spoiled Americans who love our AC, but even others were suffering as well. It was still worth it. Also, it would... More

We went to the Liszt Academy to research my husband's mother's records and thanks to the understanding and considerate librarian Maria Csanda she patiently helped us to find the information we needed. She also gave further details of where to obtain additional documents. We were so grateful to her for all she did for us.
