The zoo is great. But the elephant house with it's blue tiled domed roof is fabulous. There are countless lifesize carvings of animals like crocodiles that small children will enjoy climbing.

my 10 years old sister insisted on visiting the zoo, so we went! quite disappointing as we didn't get to see many - most animals are inside seeing that its freezing outside. weird that we didn't see any staff around as well. zoo is pretty empty, quiet as there isn't many visitors. but we got too see a few unusual... Interesting collection of animals including a new Australia and New Zealand exhibit, this zoo is surprisingly tucked away just behind Heroes square and easily visited in a half day. Check out some of the rarer animals like the Bhutanese Taksin along with the beautiful giraffes. Well cared for animals.

Spent the whole day here and it was amazing. I cannot believe how cheap it was and the zoo enclosures were super clean.

I don't normally ever think of going to a zoo, yet a solo traveler I had met the day before asked if I wanted to join. I didn't have any plans that day so why not? It's located right near one of the bathes (where I was the day before) which felt like sort of a dicey area. Although I... More

What a delightful zoo. Worth the trip out there. Took the bus directly to the entrance. The lions and tigers came right up to the glass and growled at us. Took some amazing photos. We were surprised at how clean and well organized this zoo was.

We visited Budapest zoo on our last day there and really loved it. The organization of the zoo is very good, thematic. Since it was winter time most animals were in their inner places, so we could really see them up close. Animal houses are beautiful and interesting, representing the natural habitat of animals. Some monkeys and birds are in... More

As regular attenders of zoos first it must be noted how cheap it was to get in, around 6 or 7 pound which compared to English zoos is very cheap. A very nice variety or animals and quite easy to explore and have time to do other things in the day. Some of the enclosures were a bit small, but... More

We love zoos and this one was great! There's plenty of animals to see and it's quite large too so you get a good walk around. The stand out animals include the koalas, lions, elephants, kangaroos, wallabies and wombats.
