We got round the zoo in a morning. Student price available. Most of the main species plus lots of others, lots of indoor houses too. Some enclosures were quite small. Not overly busy so we got to enjoy the zoo peacefully.

Visited the zoo with my wife and son. We were really surprised to the see the variety of animals there. The layout is also brilliant. The only thing which bothered us was that most of the cages were very unkept. Some had dead rats lying around. Though overall it was a good experience but the authorities should do something about... Really lovely time here. We're huge fans of the zoo and always try to visit the zoo wherever we travel too. I'm quite cautious about visiting those that have questionable enclosures for their animals and so, after reading the reviews on here, saw that some felt that the animals were well placed and others felt that enclosures were too small.... The zoo is a nice place to visit with plenty of diiferent spcies on show. It does fall down on the habitats for the larger species the water for the seals, polar bears and otters could do with changing and the big cats need more space. However it was a nice way to while away several hours if you don't expect... More

A lot of animals but the zoo suffers from poor maintenance by western standards. The water for the animals ( polar bears/ elephants etc. ) is rancid with feces and needs to be better maintained. The entrance fee was excessive for what was provided.

We thoroughly enjoyed our walk around the Botanical Gardens. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the zoo which was not very well kept. We felt the large animals (elephant, polar bears etc) were short on space and sociable experience. The highlight was the family of Orangutans who were very amusing but even they looked a bit bedraggled.

Nice old zoo with lots of animals. There were animals / fish species which i never saw earlier from such close distance (e.g. stingrays, polar bear, penguin and much more). Luckily we reached when the otters were being fed and it was really fun to watch them jumping and catching fish. Sea lions will definitely entertain you as they sometimes... More

Nice place to visit, although this Zoo is old. We still enjoyed walking about. Some of the buildings are beautiful to look at but to my liking not adequate anymore for these wild creatures.
