November. Freezing cold outside. Misty breath as we hurriedly get changed ..... then.... SPLASH! Forty degree spa bath, water enriched with minerals, marble pillars surround us. Like taking a step back in time. Most invigorating, not to mention therapeutic. We spent an enjoyable couple of hours swimming, floating and chatting in the pools. Great (if somewhat unlikely) meeting place. Used... More

When in Budapest you have to experience the wonders of the natural mineral waters and Szechenyi Spa is a great experience. It is cheap entry prices and you can enjoy the hot waters outside and inside. To make it extra special visit the spa on a cold day as it makes you appreciate the heated outdoor pool!! Bring your own... More

The baths are amazing. Great place to relax. The thermal outdoor baths are the best. Would recommend to go in the evening as it is a bit quieter and looks stunning in the nighfall. The staff weren't very informative and we struggled a lpot to find our way around and there are no signs around.

There is a special feeling in the outside area. You can relax in the atmosphere of 1900 and you can watch the chessplayers in the water. Inside it is also fine, but they have to renovate it.

We went to 3 baths in Budapest, and Szechenyi (btw definitely better than Gellert) is a beautiful, large complex with various pools, so it didn't feel too full even though it was quite busy in late April. The best of Szechenyi are its outside pools: The warmer one with the spraying fountain, and the slightly colder ones with the jacuzzi... More

I've been to Budapest twice in recent years and visited the baths on a couple of occasions both times. If you're heading to Budapest it's a must visit - you won't want to leave! I have also yet to find a better cure for a night out!

Spa is a way of life in Hungary. I went in this bath house while strolling in the area. It has outdoor pool with hot natural spring water.

Baths are excellent with any types and temperatures incl outside. Historic building just off heroes square v reasonable rates for am pm sessions open 6 till 10. Two recommendations take your own towels etc cos queue is huge. Also pools and saunas are v crowded but still worth a visit and a dip.

We read the reviews and we're a bit sceptical, was it just a tourist trap? The main pool outside was sooo warm and we really enjoyed it. Inside was quite smelly due to the minerals so we didn't stay too long there. The girl on reception need training in customer service as was rude but that was the only down... More
