Popular thermal baths existed in the same location during Turkish times, although the current building dates from the late 1800s.

This place was incredibly dirty in the changing rooms and around the pools. The thermal sulphur smell is natural. But urine and sewage is not normal. The complex is very complicated to navigate and the signage is poor. Minimal English signage. On entry there is...More

We got free entry with the Budapest Card. It was excellent. Lots of different pools ranging from 22-40 degrees. It's a little confusing to navigate but once we'd worked it out, we had a great time

There are lots of different baths in Budapest and we spent quite a bit of time deciding which one to visit. This is a short tram ride away from the main centre but was still easy to find. We visited on a weekday afternoon. It...More

When we bought our ticket the cashier was nice and helpful, she was the only one. I was with a foreigner friend. When we entered it was quite difficult to find the changing room, but it was okay, we asked someone, it was our first...More

A lot of different temperature baths for great price. Really nice outside pool with colorful lights. Baths are used more for locals so bear in mind might be slightly difficult to communicate, have you pay in local currency or card. Ticket for all day is...More

Almost secluded and reserved for locals therefore much more pleasant then other tourist infested spots. You can always get inside for free after you buy convenient (and recommended) Budapest card for transit, shopping etc.

We got the Budapest card so this bath came free with that card. So after going to a bath on Szechenyi the previous day - it was crowded but relaxing. So we went again to this bath the next day as it was open till...More

Whilst visiting Budapest I searched and searched the best thermal baths. I ended up choosing here based on price and reviews. The baths were good, although it was slightly confusing upon paying, hiring towels and even finding the changing rooms but we figured it out....More

We almost didn’t go to a spa because of reviews we had read. Visited the lukacs spa as it was free with our Budapest card. Was a fab afternoon chilling in the spa. Yes it was busy (Saturday) and yes the building is old but...More

I went here on my last day in Budapest. I was so upset with the Gellert Termal Baths, so I went tp Lukacs Baths that were included in the Budapest Card. Totally worth a visit :-)

Yes you can hire towels - but at a £5 each its better to take your own. The hatch that you hire them from is also difficult to find in the maze that is Lucas Baths. Ask for help, or you'll be there all day trying to find... More

Rudas would be my first choice , then Gellert, both gave wonderful massages . Each is a very different experience - try to make time to do both and Please be advised to book massages in advance.
