The part nearer the river is full of nice/expensive shops and the opera but it runs all the way up to heroes square and the botanical gardens/circus and that half of the street is more residential with some businesses by the looks of it. It gets a bit boring after a while so head off into the side streets that... More

This is a wide and elegant avenue in Budapest, probably the main avenue of town. It features several attraction and numerous high-end shops, but it somehow misses some character, and we actually found it rather dull.

2500 metres long Andrassy avenue is a good choice for a walk with a few museum / caffeine pit stops :) Heroes Square to admire at the end of your walk. Would recommend even on a cold day!

Stayed on this, what i would call a Boulevard, wide road that leads from city centre to hero's square and city park. Has wonderful boutique shops at the city end, whilst walking towards Hero's square, embassy's and very well to do homes.

Nice wide city centre throughfare with some very upmarket streets and of course the beautiful Opera House. On the opposite side of the street there is a (small ) Irish pub called Publin. Some seats outside for sunnier days and a pleasant set of bar staff inside. Serves some food as well.
