This is not a flattering statue of the Queen. She was much loved by the Hungarians as, even though she was the Austrian Queen, she spoke Hungarian. It is a pity that she was not portrayed in a more beautiful manner.

Visited on Sunday 8th October. We crossed over Elisabeth Bridge into Buda and found this statue tucked away in a small park beside the Danube River. Well worth seeking it out.

The statue it is pretty much hidden, so you should know where to find it. It is on the Buda side, close to the Elisabeth bridge.
