Liberty bridge is the first of many bridges in Budapest. Did not walk across it, but saw it during the night when it is illuminated. Not hard to miss during the day as it is painted green.

Budapest is a city with some really great looking bridges,Chain Bridge springs to mind instantly but Liberty Bridge is in my opinion just as beautiful in its own right. During WW 2 it's hard to believe all the bridges were blown during the fierce and brutal battles that took place in this city near the wars end but all have... More

Nice looking bridge,it can be interesting for an architect. It's lighted out at night, makes a beatufiul spot to look down from Gellért-mountain.

This is my favorite bridges in Budapest. I love the color and details. Day and night looks amazing. If you look at the city from the bridge, you'll see the most beautiful scenery.

Magical part of Budapest which needs to be included on "to be seen" list. As this is the shortest bridge there you can easily get to the other part of the city.

In my opinion the most beautiful bridge of Budapest. Near the Gellert Hill. In the evening a wonderful view.

This will take you from the Market hall or shopping mall over to Buda side and the Gellert baths or church in the cave

Walk across Liberty Bridge to fully appreciate the bridge. Explore both sides on foot to see the area.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
