This is one of the most memorable museum visits i have ever experienced! It was absolutely fantastic. I went there with a friend, both of us 17, by pure coincidence and we were both mesmerized by the tour which was offered in at least three languages. It was reasonably priced and at no point in time were we bored. I... More

I was a guide at this exhibition, and have seen it approximately 200 times. Even in the end I recognized something I hadn't seen before, there were many little things hidden. I gained a lot of valuable experience, knowledge, and great friends I still keep in touch.

went there with a couple of friends, just walked in from the street and thought it's going to be fun and scary they put a lot of money into the exhibition and it's well located and well organized .but beside that it's absolutely boring and a waste of time, even if you have some time with nothing to do...dont go... This exhibition basically takes you through some of the large scale murderers in history (e.g. Jack the Ripper, Vlad Tepes, Elizabeth Bathory). It explains the crimes and there are some very good visuals to involve you. If you are looking for a scary experience then this will not provide that for you! It does however look into the murders and... More

I was really looking forward at the exhibition. I was so exciting but it was so disappointing. We waited for 2 hours!!!! The stories were so boring and the special effects were old fashioned and terrible... 10 euros and 2 hours were gone for this poor exhibition. It's really better to go out and explore this wonderful city budapest ;-)

I admit that I have a more macabre sense of humor than most... Although you're expecting this huge scary moment, the actual exhibition is campy and quite funny rather than horrific and terrifying. I didn't enjoy the apple tree think session at the end... Ridiculous, though good choice of music so easy to tune out. All in all I felt... More

Nothing professional. Don't expect nothing like a CSI experience or whatever. I found it superficial, kitch and all extremely fake. You will have the same experience going in a horror tunnel in a theme park. Budapest is a great city, there are much more worthier things to see there! go there only if you have time to thrash and you... More

If your in to serial killers and things like csi then you will love it! If you were thinking more a horror house like London dungeon then its not for you.. the poster is slightly misleading and doesn't give much away but don't let that deter you. Its very interesting all the same.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
