This church is also called "St Michael's in the city" or "St MIchaels Templom" so be assured it's the same place. I had inquired about seeing a concert at st Michaell's, but the concert page on their website errors out. Luckily for me I was walking down Vaci Utca and saw the church, and a man was hawking flyers about... More

We noticed that little church on our last day in Budapest and very much enjoyed the architectural design. It is nothing dramatic or too fancy, but very pretty to look at.

Just decided at last minute to give the Saturday evening, one hour performance a try and glad that we did. Not a particularly big venue and not the most ornate but the acoustics were very good, as was the organist and the choir. It was sold out by the looks of it and was well worth the 4,000 Huff entry... Wow, how peaceful this Church is, the architecture is simply breath taking inside. We walked in and sat there to take in All the colours and Muriel's on the walls and high ceilings. Take time to visit and take Time to be at peace with yourself.

Can't miss it. It is right on Vaci Utca. Popular for organ concerts and other musical concerts. Founded by Dominicans the church is over 250 years old. Gorgeous inside, but what church is not. Convenient to stop in for concert or a quick look.

We happened to pass by Vaci Utca, the pedestrain street, in the middle of town and found this small but beautiful church. The organ and choir concerts were very famous here, but we could not attend the one this evening as our tour would proceed to the next destination.

Founded by the Dominican Order, the history of this single-naved church dates back to the 1700-s. The Dominicans were followed by the Paulines and the Mary Ward Nuns, who opened and ran a girls school in the adjacent building until 1950. The high altar and the furniture in the sacristy all date from the 1760s and are the work of... More

We called in here whilst on a wander through the city. Beautiful paintings on walls and ceilings and lovely statues. Apparently they hold musical concerts here regularly. Well worth popping in and it's free!

While walking down Vaci Utca you will come across this beautiful church. In a city with many fantastic churches Belvarosi Szent Mihaly Templom ( St Michael's Church ) is another great example of the type of church to be found here. A lovely prestine exterior with nice statues inlaid into the facade and a nice light coloured pain scheme that... More

Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history.
