If you can appreciate the good rock and roll music, you're set in this bar. The music is on point with the joint. The bar staff are such lovely people and so are the clientele. The cocktails are to-die-for. Pina Colada and the Long Island Ice Tea were my favourite. Also, the nachos are great. Come here for a good... More

Yes that's correct. There is a rockabilly bar in Budapest. Stumbled on this place because it's close to Hotel Hungaria where I was staying. Mostly a local crowd which is strange because the band was playing rockabilly classics by Ritchie Valens and other notables of 50s Rock. Bar staff was very friendly. Drinks were slightly expensive by Budapest standard but... More

Great venue for the evening. We popped in the day before and the barman was so friendly. We were able to play pool downstairs, for no charge. The next day there was kareoke downstairs and we rocked the night away. Very good place.

We were in Budapest on March 2015. The Pub is really close to the hotel Best Western Hungaria and it can be reached easily by foot and by transports. The pub is not very big but it is really comfortable, it has 3 floors in which you can drink and eat. In the third floor there is a foosball and... More

The bar is close to Blaha Square, so you can use public transport to get there. Amigo has three floors, the top is only for small groups, no service on that floor. The street-floor had a main bar and some boxes to sit and enjoy the music. The main floor is underground, with another bar. Decoration is nice, prices are... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
