Went in the morning, so cheap to start with 2500HUF and then because we left before mid day (2hours was so much time here) we got our deposit back, so paid 1100HUf each! Four inside pools ranging fro 28-40 degrees, a steam room, two saunas and an outside wooden tub jacuzzi which we had to ourselves. Superbly clean and made... More

After an unsuccessful attempt to go into Rudas baths, I chose Kiraly due to location and price. The place undoubtely has its own character, it looks like it hasn't been renovated for some good years (probably never). So if you expect some touristic, new, modern spa for sure Kiraly is not a good option. If you want to experience genuine,... More

We also went to Gellert and Szechenyi. Each was a very different experience. Kiraly is small and very old - but in many ways you feel that you get a more authentic bath experience. It is also very much cheaper than Gellert. Many of the patrons are locals. There is only one large pool - but it is spectacular -... More

The baths are very close to the Margaret bridge so there is a great view of the Parliament building close by. The building was very atmospheric and the different pools were clearly marked. It's not that big compared to Gellert and there was not much English signs and explanations, however it was perfectly possible to book in though it took... More

Lovely old building with lots of character. Felt quite magical sitting in the main circular thermal pool with the holes in the ceiling. Found a hot tub outside which was empty so the two of us were able to gaze at the night sky, in the middle of winter, while relaxing in the warmth of the hot tub. Felt like... More

Kiraly is my favourite bath house in Budapest. We travelled from Prague for a long weekend just to spend two days here. It is run down, but that just doesn't matter. The main pool is 36 degrees with a small 40 degree pool and a dipping pool in the main room. There's also a steam room and showers. In another... More

These baths were exactly what we needed after a day of walking around freezing cold Budapest! They are definitely worth visiting, one of the cheaper baths as it is probably one of the smaller ones but that gave it a cosy and romantic feel. Loved that they had not renovated or tried to modernise it too much, felt like going... More

I think this is one of the smallest spas in Budapest and it was quite busy on a Sunday evening. There only seemed to be one locker area upstairs which was mixed and only 3/4 changing cubicles if you didn't just want to strip off at the lockers and the only showers I think were also down in the thermal... This bath was built by the Turks in 1565 and it looks like it --- you can tell the domes and pools are original. Of course there have been updates but this is a really authentic spa. I went on NYD and the cassa temporarily closed due to the capacity in the spa. (Good to know they respect the space... More

Small, authentic, intimate and unique place. There was several pools with hot spring water and three saunas (one turkish style with a lot of steam and two other were normal, and not so hot - for me, they were not hot enough) We had really relaxing time there, hot spring water pools were lovely and price wasn't so bad either....
