This was a cool thing to do while visiting Visegrad. Not too expensive. Played some Pokemon Go on the grounds (haha). On Wednesdays and Saturdays they have knight competitions, which I missed sadly. Great overlook of the river. Pretty much you can walk around at...More

The castle itself is small and average. But it offers good view of the Danube river from the top. They have a paid entrance to the castle.

It really is worth going to the Citadel even just to enjoy the magnificent view over Danube river. You can arrive with a car and there is a parking lot with many spaces. There is some uphill walking involved but nothing to difficult. And after...More

Beautiful castle with an amazing view of the countryside. Although outside the main city, well worth the visit.

Pretty easy access by a car or moderate hike from the Visegrad city. Awesome view towards the Danube river and Pilis mountains. You can walk the castle on your own. I would say that it's all about the view as there is not that much...More

The view is wonderful. However the ticket to "museum' is overpriced, there are some small rooms with hardly anything to see. When wanting to enter the wax "museum" we were told to come back later because a larger group is inside. We had very little...More

It's more the surondings and the road which make the place. The castle is not the most formidable, but its location towering over the Danube Bend is gorgeous.

The weather was good and it was beautiful landscape from the castle to the Danube and the mountains. The prices are reasonable. Parking is an issue when the parking lot iss full. You have to take a long walk, not highly recommended in bad weather,...More

Hi, The Citadell is part of it originally, but that is he best view spot there in the area so they chagre for going up to the tower. Once it is worth going there so you see it, but there is a spectacular view anyways from... More
