A portion of the museum was under construction, but we visited on Sunday so there was no construction noise. We do not know how much of the museum we missed. I do not know if it is always free, but they did not charge an admission fee. We guessed that this was due to the partial closure. There was a... More

When we were here the middle floor was closed but the top and first floors were open. The top floor had an exhibition of jewellery which was quite modern and industrial looking, but the first floor had an exhibition of baroque, gothic and medieval art, mostly sacred, and arranged by theme. It was really good and there was lots to... More

We recently visited this museum and enjoyed stepping through the history of Slovakia. It was a good museum that gave us a very informative background to this country. Worth a visit

We stumbled upon this building, and decided to enter out of curiosity. The entrance was free, and we enjoyed the exhibition, very interesting (especcialy the interactive part on upper level).

A wet Sunday in Bratislava but found this excellent gallery by the river. Very interesting collections over several floors and a decent cafe on the ground floor. Pleasant staff. Make this a good visit.
