Walk up to Devin Castles outer walls and gaze across the river to Austria. The castle is basically a ruin but seeing the basic walls and protection fortification is interesting. Many people died trying to win to the other side when this area was under...More

Took a bus to Devin castle from the old town for €0.90, took around 20 minutes. It's a lovely walk up to the castle with some great views of the Danube and surrounding countryside. Well worth a visit!

Devin Castle is easy to access either by bus lines #29 (close to castle grounds) and #28 (a short walk from the site) or by a Danube cruise boat which runs twice a day, offering nice views but at a considerably higher price (€12 both...More

We decided to take the city bus (#29) from the Most SNP bus terminal (under the bridge) instead of the boat. Bus cost 90 Euro cents each way, a lot less than 12 Euros each way for the boat. The #29 bus comes every 30...More

Devin Hrad is an easy trip from Bratislava (take bus 29, which stops directly in front of the castle, or bus 28 which stops in the neighborhood a few blocks away). The castle is in a magnificent position, perched on the cliffs above the Danube...More

After wondering round the grounds we went inside the ruins and climbed to the top to find some incredible views. The castle itself also has a very interesting history that is explained but I would recommend it for the views.

Hi, I'm not sure if you can book in advance but it any case it's never that busy. The ticket booth was empty when we went mid morning and will only take you a minute or so to buy tickets. Enjoy!
