Attractive tower in the old town

This is one of the highlights of a visit to the old town of Bratislava. The immediate area is full of shops squarely targeted at tourists, but it's still worth a look.

The street is small and with pavements and with the surrounding buildings it's like a historical throwback.

The tower and architecture itself is interesting, but the street is now just filled with generic touristy shops and a couple of bars, clearly marketed at stag parties.

The tower at the end is a stand out feature of the old town and if your visiting at Christmas the combination of the lit up tower and festive lights make for some lovely pics.

The street has its character. I liked a laser installation that was set up along the street and included some mirrors to cope with the curve of the street.

This is the main thoroughfare street from the top to the bottom with lots of alleyways running off the street, the street has, lots of cafes, pubs, restaurants, arts and craft shops something for everyone.

The town was enclrcled in the old days and this is the only remaining tower - so a must see if you are interested in the history of the city.

Very beautiful street, the view of the tower is so imposing. There are many restaurants and cafes. Next to Michael's gate you can find one of the narrowest buildings.

This is a pedestrian street (except for service vehicles) that was on the walking route between the Most SNP (Bridge transit center) and my hotel, the Crown Plaza. It is somewhat touristy but, is full of very non-touristy shops, restaurants, and interesting side streets. The street does not end at the church as the picture implies but you pass through... More

We were in Old Town and spent a little time on St. Michael's street during a short stop on our Tauck Tour. There was nothing special about the street. St. Michael's Tower was attractive for its turret. But we did not tour the inside.
