An interesting part of Bratislava. Many shops and cafeterias/ snack bars in this area. It is certainly worth visiting for a couple of hours.

One of the oldest building in the town are said to be from year 1300 and should be the tower. Reconstruction in 1758 and then the statue of Michael and he's dragons was placed on the top. Once it was 4 walls around the town and then it was also 4 places to enter the old town. Today You can... More

If you want to visit beautiful Bratislava from the top -Michaels tower is great for it. Same ticket lay you in to the museum and top of the tower. It's a little bit narrow. Good for 2-4 people at the same time only.

This is obviously an old part of town with the buildings being a few centuries old. The walk up to St Michael's tower goes past a range of shops which are quite nice. You can access the tower if you wish for a small fee.

Browsing thru the old part of Bratislava (formerly Presburg) we learnt a lot of interesting historical facts from our professional tourist guide. Prior to 1918 creation of Czechoslovakia, Slovakia was under heavy influence of Hungary, part of Astro-Hungarian empire.

A lot of stairs to climb, but what a view. On every floor there are several objects to see so until next stairs you can relax. A nice place to visit.

Costs about 4 euro to get in and go up the tower, some limited museum pieces inside but really the only reason to pay is to view the city from the top, better value and views are from the city museum. No facilities inside.

Beautiful and crowdy street (at least in December), clean and I loved the decoration (lights). Must see!

This is one of the highlights of a visit to the old town of Bratislava. The immediate area is full of shops squarely targeted at tourists, but it's still worth a look.
