Great cathedral with long long history and beautiful statues and altars. It is after reconstruction. Don't forget go upstairs to the tower for great sightseeing.

Beautifully renovated cathedral. Probably the most beautiful in Slovakia. Huge organ inside, nice roof and perfect round view on whole city from the clock tower. If you will decided to go up be carefull the stairs are very narrow and people walk two-way up-down.

Well worth a look when in Kosice. Very ornate interior and impressive features. Is a working cathedral, so you get the token beggars outside

Massive and looming but not gloomy cathedral in the heart of the downtown area. Easy access to a marvelous interior and a few pennies for a walk up the tower. The facade is ornate and spectacular, especially in the evening sun. The history of it's construction and the role of the wife of one of the master stone mason's in... More

Wonderful and interesting history- an active church with bells peeling and organ music each night/day.

We visited this city in July 2013, the year when this city was been showcased as a Cultural Center. It is indeed a beautiful, welcoming city and the St. Elizabeth Cathedral is a MUST for any visitors. Located in the pedestrianized square, cannot be missed! The climbing up to the tower is worth if anything for the spectacular views (2... More
