When a traffic bollard becomes everything

For me, this statue was on the way to the Castle / Cathedral complex. So, obviously, it was something to look at. As the local beer was called "Corgon" and I'd asked what or who... read more

History. Very nicely renovated castle. One of the most beautiful church. Relax and walk, maybe take some coffee, wine and/or beer.

A historical statue in the heart of Nitra just below the castle. I believ the saying goes he was 1 of the strongest men in Slovakia, and local people say the statue is holding the wall up. He also has a local Slovakian beer Corgan named after him!! Worth a visit while heading to the castle.

Legendary statue of Corgon, whi has fought against Osmans by throwing rocks on them. It is pitty, that statue is in bad condition, but I think, that whole castle together with this statue is must for every visitor in Nitra

I do not know what the Corgob is. But if you mean "CORGON" - than that is a statue of atlant placed in old city. This statue is connected to legend of blacksmith named Corgon who sawed city from osmans warriors.
