First surprise was how difficult it was to get there. Hubbie and I took a trolley bus, just to find that from the end stop it was a long walk on slippery, narrow and wintery pathways to the monastery. But it was all worth it!...More

Beautiful monastery on edge of a lake. Strongly recomend to take a walk around the forest and go little bit further

Really lovely place to visit and walk around. Plenty of forest and parks around where you can enjoy fresh air and sit near lake t relax. Really nice place to visit ;)

The monastery houses the museum of history and Lithuanian artifacts in another building. Great English translations.

This monastery is well worth exploring. You can see the church, with its beautiful artwork and lovely cloister.

But, apparently, it's not so easy to visit it. You have to ring a bell, and wait for someone to open a door. Closed on mondays.

About an hour is plenty of time to see the monastery itself, but if you have the time to spare, the gardens are lovely - calm and serene to sit and contemplate.
