This church is located at end pedestrian area of Laisvės al. Basically between this one and old town is pedestrian area, full of shops, restaurants and cafes. It was built 1895 for Russian garrison and is quite simple from inside compared to Kaunas Cathedral Basilica...More

Located at one end of the avenue you will find this big church commonly called “Soboras”. It is hardly ever open, but nicest from the outside anyway. Check in advance, to make sure you will be able to get a look inside. A nice photo...More

It is big church and has impressive outlook. Inner is basic there is some repairs. It has a big dome. When you go Kaunas, go in, take a look and go out to Oldtown.

It was being refurbished all around so we couldn't go in it or near it. It looked impressive even in its being refurbished state.

Specially on the outside. In my opinion, the inside is rather basic. Not worth the detour if you are heading to the castle only.

A beautiful church at the end of Liberty Boulevard. Looks especially amazing in the evenings. A must visit when in Kaunas.

The hotel overlooked the church. The church sits at the end or a beautiful promenade of trees and cafes. The area immediately next to the church is just being renovated but it doesn't deter from the beauty of the structure.
