A bit of culture and heritage

I have to say that it doesn't matter how shabby the park is, it is so wonderful to see so many sculptures in such a small park. All of it is part of the heritage. Just lovely. I... read more

I am an avid sculpture park seeker and I was excited to see that there was one within a 20 minute walk of city center. The park itself is nice and shaded; however, the layout of it is strange. The sidewalks in the park need maintenance and at times, it looks more like a cemetery.

The park is indeed full of sculptures, most of which from 70s and 80s. This means that they have this particular sad feel to them, especially when displayed in this dark park, pedestrians are also in a bad condition. I didn't find it very interesting unfortunately.

Sure does sound boring a sculpture park, but to my surprise, many of the pieces are quite interesting and worth a closer look. I was there by myself that afternoon to avoid the mid-day sun and kill some time. It would be more worthwhile if you go there with a Lithuanian, because it was told afterwards that the sculptures are... More

Peaceful park that feels like a small forest...the sculptures, mostly from early 1980's are interesting to look at while walking around....probably he best attraction in Klaipėda city...

We took the bus from the old city to the central bus station, sculpture park is just next to it. The atmosphere of this former cemetary provides a calming balm for tourists. It is simply a beautiful experience, try to go at noon on Sat/Sun when the carillon concert is heard from the neighboring church.

It nice place, with quit a few sculptures. But as I traveled quite a lot I see that this park needs some investment from city to make it fresh looking enjoy trees, birds and sculptures

Even though the sculptures represent an important era of sculpture history - the presentation and upkeep is sorely lacking. The sculptures lie in the midst of unkept gardens gone to weed. For those looking for traditional artwork, they may have trouble understanding what they are seeing without some signage. Those signs which were there, were often hidden behind a clump... More

The park is very peaceful and it was relaxing to walk through it but I am afraid that the majority of the sculptures does not seems to be particularly good. There are the odd exceptions, but they are far between...
