White sand is wonderful. But Palanga in sunny warm days is very crowdy. The beach aswell. It will take some time to find nice place for sunbath. Water in Baltic sea never gets too warm - mostly +19 degrees C.

I've been to beaches in Scotland, Carribbean, East Asia, Riviera and the Canaries but can honestly say this really rates up there with the best. They are genuinely idyllic.

lots of places to visit around a very clean and tidy beach. Walk along the pier or sit and watch the waves and swimmers. Could do with some bench seats on the pier!

It’s great for children! Hardly likely it will be hot, but July is the best month to be in Palanga. Bring a light jacket. Clean beaches, entertainment for kids on main street, safe walking streets, long bicycle trail. You... More
